An introduction to scratch. This level focuses on the fundamentals. We start off with an introduction to the scratch environment. Basic movement, visual effects, and the pen feature are the focus of the first few lessons. Then coordinate systems, simple relative movement, sounds, and sensing towards the latter half of the level. Closer to the end of the level the students start telling their own stories with different costumes and scene designs. We challenge the creativity and story telling of each and every one of our students with a test that gives them the choice to write their own story and incorporate as many elements from the level as possible.
