AMC 10 & 12 (Year 14-18)

AMC 10 &12 Summer Bootcamp | Ages 14-18

Join our intensive mathematics competition preparation program led by Mihaela, our experienced Mathematics Competition Coach. This comprehensive bootcamp is divided into two streams: AMC 10 (for grade 10 students) and AMC 12 (for grade 11 students), each tailored to meet specific competition requirements and mathematical skill levels.
The AMC 10 program covers essential topics in Algebra (including Quadratic Equations and Viète's Relationship), Combinatorics (focusing on Parity and Pigeonhole Principle), Geometry (featuring Introductory Trigonometry), and Number Theory (exploring Divisibility and Modular Arithmetic). Students will prepare for AMC 10, Waterloo math contests, and participate in our school's internal competitions and HMMT team contest.
The AMC 12 stream advances to more complex concepts, including Advanced Trigonometry, Polynomial Equations, and sophisticated Counting Techniques. This program prepares students for AMC 12, AIME qualification, Euclid, and other advanced competitions. Under Mihaela's expert guidance, both programs emphasize problem-solving strategies and critical thinking skills essential for mathematical competition success.

AMC Mathematics Program

Our intensive mathematics program develops advanced problem-solving and analytical skills through carefully structured mathematical training. Each day, students explore challenging topics across different mathematical domains, preparing them for prestigious competitions like AMC 10/12, AIME, and Waterloo contests.

Our program emphasizes developing systematic approaches to complex mathematical problems. Students learn to identify patterns, construct proofs, and apply theoretical concepts to solve challenging competition-style questions. Special focus is given to time management and accuracy in competitive settings.

Students dive deep into four fundamental areas:

  • Algebra: Advanced equations, inequalities, and functions
  • Geometry: Euclidean geometry, trigonometry, and coordinate systems
  • Number Theory: Prime numbers, divisibility, and modular arithmetic
  • Combinatorics: Counting principles, probability, and graph theory

The program builds strong foundations in competition mathematics, preparing students for various contests. Students learn specialized techniques, practice with past competition questions, and develop strategies for maximizing their performance under time pressure.

Each week concludes with practice competitions where students apply their knowledge under test-like conditions. These sessions help build speed, accuracy, and confidence while providing valuable feedback on areas needing improvement.
