Essay Writing (Year 14-18)

MIT Essay Writing Bootcamp | Ages 14-18

Experience an intensive 30-hour writing program with our distinguished instructor Dr. Chin, an MIT Ph.D. graduate! This three-week bootcamp (2 hours daily for 15 days) is tailored for high school students in two age groups: HS Level 1 (14-16 years) and HS Level 2 (15-18 years). Each session begins with analyzing carefully selected literary works - from Sherlock Holmes mysteries and inspiring speeches by JFK and Winston Churchill to thought-provoking essays by E.B. White, Frederick Douglas, and Ralph Waldo Emerson. Students then craft their own thematically similar pieces under Dr. Chin's expert guidance. HS Level 1 focuses on developing critical thinking through literature analysis, research-based essays, and comprehensive reports. HS Level 2 advances to university-style writing and college application essays. Students will master various writing styles including persuasive essays, comparative analysis, narratives, biographical writing, scientific papers, and even Shakespeare analysis. This intensive program creates a dynamic learning environment that bridges analytical thinking with practical writing skills essential for academic success.
