On November 30, 2024, TechBlazers robotics teams demonstrated exceptional performance at the VRC competition held in Brampton, marking another successful milestone in their competitive journey. The event, hosted at David Suzuki School, showcased the growing talent and dedication of our young robotics enthusiasts.
The standout performance came from Team 16610A “Snaky Cakes,” who dominated the competition by securing two prestigious awards. They clinched the Robot Skills Champion title, demonstrating superior programming and driving capabilities. Additionally, they proved their competitive spirit by finishing as Tournament Finalists, showcasing their ability to perform under pressure in alliance matches.
The competition also highlighted remarkable progress from other TechBlazers teams. Both Moderate 16610D and Stakehouse 13697H teams showed significant improvement in their performance, reflecting their dedication to continuous learning and development. Their growth throughout the competition season has been particularly noteworthy.
This VRC Qualifier event was part of the 2024-2025 competition season, drawing teams from across Ontario. The competition featured both remote judging elements and digital notebook submissions, adapting to modern competitive robotics standards. With a capacity of 70 teams, the event was fully subscribed, demonstrating the growing interest in competitive robotics in the region.
