Debut at VEX V5 Worlds (Middle School): TechBlazers 16610G Wins Judge Award

From April 25–27, 2026, the VEX V5 Robotics Competition Middle School Event at the VEX Robotics World Championship 2026 was held in St. Louis, USA, bringing together top teams from around the world to compete for one of the highest honors in youth robotics.

First Season, First Worlds Appearance

For any VEX team, qualifying for the World Championship already represents the highest level of regional competition after advancing through multiple qualification stages.

As a rookie team in their first competitive season, Team 16610G not only qualified for Worlds, but also successfully made their international debut on this global stage.

This marks a true international-level breakthrough.

Division Quarterfinalists Among 86 Teams

During the division matches, Team 16610G demonstrated strong and consistent performance:

  • Selected as the 3rd alliance entering elimination rounds
  • Advanced to the division quarterfinals (Top 8)
  • Showed strong strategic coordination and adaptability

Reaching the Top 8 in such a competitive field is a clear reflection of the team’s execution and overall capability.

Judge Award: Recognized by International Judges

Beyond competition results, Team 16610G was honored with the Judge Award.

This award carries significant prestige at Worlds:

  • Approximately 10 recipients per division
  • Selected from 86 competing teams
  • Evaluates robot design, engineering process, communication, and overall development

Receiving this award signifies recognition across multiple dimensions by the international judging panel.

Beyond Results: A Reflection of Systematic Strength

The VEX World Championship is not just about match results—it is a comprehensive evaluation of engineering systems and team development.

Achieving both a Top 8 finish and the Judge Award in their first season demonstrates a strong and well-developed foundation.

This is not just a competition—it is the beginning of a much larger journey.

From 16610A to 16610G: A Proven System

Within the same system, Team 16610A achieved historic success at the high school level:

  • World Championship Finalist (2nd Place)
  • Create Award Winner
  • Division Champion

This represents a level of achievement not reached by Canadian teams in the past decade.

Core Philosophy: Originality Drives True Competitiveness

TechBlazers collaborates with multiple private schools in Toronto to continuously develop a structured STEM curriculum.

We firmly believe:

True talent is not built through short-term training, but through long-term, systematic learning.

We are not a competition-driven organization. We focus on:

  • Whether students truly understand engineering
  • Whether they can think independently
  • Whether they can create originally

Students are not just executors—they can be creators.

From the peak performance of 16610A to the impressive debut of 16610G, TechBlazers is demonstrating that:

Success is not accidental—it is the result of long-term system building.
