Event Overview

The Sugar Rush VEX V5 Signature Event is one of the most competitive and high-level events in the VEX Robotics Competition season.

  • Competition Dates: January 4–5, 2026
  • Classified as an official Signature Event

  • Attracts top-tier high school VEX V5 teams from around the world

  • Overall competition level comparable to the VEX World Championship

  • Match intensity, competitiveness, and judging standards all benchmarked against VEX Worlds

At this level of competition, every match and every score reflects a team’s true capabilities in:
engineering design, programming, execution under pressure, and teamwork.

Team 16610A

Champion of Robot Skills — Ranked #1

In the most technically demanding category, the Robot Skills Challenge,
Team 16610A achieved an outstanding score of 213 points, earning first place overall.

This score marked the highest Skills result at the Sugar Rush Signature Event, creating a clear gap from second place and securing a world No.1 ranking.

This achievement represents far more than driver skill and programming stability. It reflects:

  • A highly mature robot structural design

  • Deep optimization of program logic and execution efficiency

  • The results of long-term, systematic training and iteration

Behind the Robot Skills Champion title lies countless hours of testing, rebuilding, failure, and perseverance.

Undefeated Division Champion & Tournament Finalist

During the qualification rounds, Team 16610A maintained an undefeated record, finishing first in their division and earning the Division Champion title to advance to the finals.

In the Tournament Finals, facing equally elite opponents, 16610A delivered a high-intensity performance and ultimately earned the title of Tournament Finalist.

This result fully demonstrated the team’s consistency, adaptability, and all-around competitive strength.

Think Award — Official Recognition of Engineering Depth

In addition to competition results, Team 16610A was awarded the Think Award, one of the most prestigious judged awards in VEX Robotics.

The Think Award recognizes excellence in:

  • Clarity of engineering design process

  • Advanced programming architecture and algorithm optimization

  • Data analysis and iterative improvement

  • Deep understanding of why specific design choices were made

This award confirms that the students didn’t just build a robot —they truly mastered engineering thinking, system design, and technical logic.

Team 16610V

Innovate Award — Creativity Meets Performance

At the same event, Team 16610V earned the Innovate Award.

This award focuses on:

  • Unique and original design concepts

  • Unconventional yet highly effective solutions

  • Innovative understanding of game strategy and robot structure

Winning the Innovate Award at a Signature Event proves that 16610V’s work is original and forward-thinking — driven by innovation, not imitation.

A Remarkable Team Achievement

The Sugar Rush Signature Event presented 12 official awards in total.
TechBlazers teams claimed 4 of them, accounting for one-third of all awards at the event.

This achievement is not only recognition of the students’ talent and hard work, but also a strong affirmation of TechBlazers’ training system and competitive development philosophy.
