NASA Space Apps Challenge – A Global Innovation Event

The NASA Space Apps Challenge, organized by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), is one of the world’s largest hackathons. Since its launch in 2012, it has attracted hundreds of thousands of innovators from over 150 countries and regions.

In this 48-hour extreme challenge, makers, scientists, engineers, designers, and students from around the globe will collaborate in teams, using open data and tools provided by NASA and its partners to solve real-world challenges facing Earth and space.

  • TechBlazers can register multiple teams, giving more students the chance to join NASA’s stage

  • August 21: NASA will announce this year’s official challenge themes
  • TechBlazers will select key themes and provide targeted mentorship and training so that participants can start strong and stay focused

To help students and parents better understand the competition, TechBlazers will host an Info Session:

Agenda

  • 30 min Competition Overview – Latest information, process, and rules
  • 15 min Q&A + Project Showcase – Learn from past winning projects, ask questions directly to mentors
  • 15 min Registration Guidance – Volunteers will assist with on-site sign-up to ensure a smooth process

Mentors and volunteers will be present throughout the session to ensure clarity and transparency. Special guidance for parents will be provided to address questions about registration and participation.
