Techblazers Double Showdown: From Signature Finals to In-House Rivalries

Double Showdown: From Signature Finals to In-House Rivalries

The past week was nothing short of electrifying for the Techblazers VRC Metal Robotics program, featuring back-to-back battles that showcased both international prestige and internal intensity.

At the VEX V5 Owl Signature Event, two elite Techblazers teams—16610A (Snacky Cakes) and 16610V (Vanadium)—found themselves on a collision course. Team A allied with powerhouse 3150D (Red Team), while Team V formed a strong partnership with 3160V. After powering through elimination rounds, the two Techblazers-led alliances met in the grand finals.

The result? A Techblazers vs. Techblazers championship match — a moment of pride, grit, and sibling rivalry on a global stage. Though only one could claim victory, both teams proved they belong among the world’s best, demonstrating precise strategy, mechanical excellence, and nerves of steel.

As if one epic showdown wasn’t enough, another battle awaited just days later — this time, back home at the Silver Owl Training Scrimmage on July 20.

In a more relaxed (yet no less competitive) setting, Techblazers Team A and Team V dominated the qualification rounds, finishing 1st and 2nd respectively. With bragging rights on the line, Team A led the top alliance while Team V took the reins of the second.

Once again, destiny pitted them against each other in the finals.

The scrimmage final was fast-paced and full of calculated aggression. While Team V brought the heat, it was Team A — calm, composed, and ruthless — that came out on top.

“Classic A-Team — calm, collected, and crushing it. They definitely reminded Team V who’s boss,” joked a coach with a proud grin.

These double duels — one under bright Signature lights and one under the familiar hum of home turf — represent more than just competition. They symbolize growth, mentorship, and the rising tide of excellence across the entire Techblazers program.

💡 Why This Matters

Events like these highlight not only the technical prowess of our teams, but also the culture of camaraderie, resilience, and constant improvement. Whether it’s a global stage or an in-house scrimmage, our teams bring the same energy and focus — and the results speak for themselves.

With the Push Back season accelerating, and regional qualifiers on the horizon, both Team A and Team V are sharpening their skills for even bigger opportunities ahead.

Stay tuned — this is just the beginning.
