Over the weekend, our two high school robotics teams, Stakehouse and Adequate, took the Niagara Battlefields VEX V5 Robotics Competition by storm, finishing with an unbeatable 4-0 record! With this stellar performance, they claimed the top two spots in the tournament, demonstrating outstanding skill, teamwork, and strategic insight.
About the Competition: VEX V5 High Stakes
This season’s VEX V5 Robotics Competition, themed High Stakes, is a fast-paced event where two-team alliances collaborate to score points. Teams place rings, secure mobile goals, and even climb a center ladder in the final moments. The competition challenges participants to master both autonomous programming and driver-controlled operations, pushing their design, engineering, and coding skills to new heights. Each successful move on the 12×12 field—whether ring placement or climb—adds to the game’s excitement and intensity.
Stakehouse and Adequate’s Journey to Victory
Our teams demonstrated not only technical prowess but also outstanding teamwork and strategic coordination. Throughout each match, they executed flawless maneuvers to dominate the field, adapting their strategies as needed and supporting one another. Their consistent victories led them to claim both the first and second rankings in this tournament, putting Techblazers in the spotlight.
